Sam Wright
Managing Director

Sam Wright is the founding director of Straight Lines Consultancy. Mr Wright has over fifteen years experience in the administration of ASX listed companies, corporate governance and corporate finance. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and the Governance Institute of Australia.

Mr Wright is currently the Finance Director and Company Secretary of ASX listed company, PharmAust Limited. He is Non-Executive Director & Company Secretary for ASX listed company, Structural Monitoring Systems plc.

Mr Wright is Company Secretary for Australian/Frankfurt Stock Exchange dual-listed companies, Buxton Resources Limited and Wide Open Agriculture Limited. He has also filled the role of Director and Company Secretary with a number of unlisted companies.

Mr Wright has extensive experience in relation to public company responsibilities, including ASX and ASIC compliance, control and implementation of corporate governance, statutory financial reporting, and shareholder relations with both retail and institutional investors.

Gary Elwell
Financial Consultant

Gary has 17 years’ experience in Senior accounting roles (CFO/Financial Controller) with ASX listed Companies including Aruma Resources Limited, Buxton Resources Limited, Canyon Resources Limited, Nexus Minerals Limited, Strategic Elements Limited and Transaction Solutions International Limited.

He previously held positions with Crusader Resources Limited, LifeCare Health Limited and Quadrant iridium Limited. He has extensive experience in IPO, mergers, acquisitions, backdoor listings, audit, ASX reporting and financial reporting. Gary graduated in Economics from the University of Northumbria in the UK. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Institute of Public Accountants.

John Wright
Local Government Finance Consultant

John Wright is a specialist in local government financial sustainability and governance. John has provided hands-on assistance to a wide range of Councils in various States and the Northern Territory, including, in particular, rural and remote Councils. He also has assisted the National Treasury of South Africa and the Indonesian Ministry of Finance to implement local government financial reforms and training in those countries. John has particular expertise in long-term financial planning, budgeting, treasury management and establishing financial and asset management policies and strategies. John is a Member of the Institute of Public Accountants.
